Regulations on the Quality Standards for Preschool Teachers

On October 08, 2018, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 26/2018/TT-BGDDT, specifically stipulating the standards of teacher qualities for preschool teachers.

According to Circular 26, the qualities of an educator are defined as adhering to the regulations and cultivating professional ethics; sharing experiences, supporting colleagues in cultivating ethics, and establishing an educator's style.

Educator's quality standards include: Educator ethics and working style. To be specific:

- For educator ethics standards:

- Satisfactory level: Strictly complying with the regulations on educator ethics;- Fairly good level: Being conscious of self-study, self-discipline, and striving to enhance educator ethics;- Good level: Being an exemplary model of educator ethics; sharing experiences, supporting colleagues in cultivating educator ethics.

- For working style standards:

- Satisfactory level: Having an appropriate demeanor and working method suited to the job of a preschool teacher;- Fairly good level: Being conscious of self-discipline, developing a scientific working style, respecting and being close to children and their parents;- Good level: Being an exemplary model of a scientific working style, respecting and being close to children and their parents; having a positive influence and supporting colleagues in forming an educator's style.
