Regulations on Skills to be Achieved after Graduation in the Forestry Department at College Level

Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs on December 28, 2018, stipulates the minimum volume of knowledge and requirements for competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in fields of agriculture, forestry, aquaculture, and veterinary medicine.

According to the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college level forestry programs, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills to be achieved after graduating in forestry at the college level are as follows:

- Be able to use tools, measuring equipment, and some specialized software in forest resource management, forest land management, and forestry mapping;

- Be able to produce some species of agricultural and forestry seedlings;

- Perform tasks related to planting, caring for, nurturing, and restoring forests; preventing and controlling forest pests, preventing and extinguishing forest fires, and preventing damage to forests by humans and livestock.

- Be able to identify some species of forest animals and plants;

- Prepare certain types of records related to the forestry field;

- Propagate and mobilize the community to comply with legal regulations on forestry.

- Manage production activities at group, team, and unit levels; supervise silvicultural techniques, and perform the tasks of forest extension officers;

- Organize forestry farm production and business;

- Correctly apply regulations and measures to ensure labor safety, and provide first aid to individuals involved in labor accidents or illness during forestry production.

- Use basic foreign languages, achieving level 2/6 in the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework; apply foreign languages in specialized work of the sector.
