Regulations on Skills in the Veterinary Services Sector at the College Level

On December 28, 2018, Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued by BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery, and veterinary medicine.

According to the Regulations stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge, competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate level and college level in the Veterinary Service sector, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum skills that learners must achieve after graduating in the college-level Veterinary Service are as follows:

- Be able to perform tasks of diagnosing diseases, treating diseases, extracting and preparing semen, practicing obstetrics;- Be able to carry out all steps in the process of establishing and implementing disease prevention procedures;- Provide guidance, inspection, and professional supervision for individuals with lower qualifications or livestock farmers;- Be able to establish pet care services, open veterinary drug and animal feed stores;- Conduct the business of veterinary equipment and drugs effectively, safely, environmentally hygienically, and legally compliant;- Perform veterinary tasks in livestock facilities, agricultural and forestry scientific service centers, agricultural promotion centers, and participate in the production of veterinary drugs;- Promote community participation in implementing livestock and poultry disease prevention plans;- Update and share new information and technologies in the veterinary field to effectively meet assigned tasks;- Be able to record work logs, prepare reports on the content and progress of work. Implement labor safety and veterinary hygiene measures;- Use basic information technology as regulated; exploit, process, and apply information technology in the professional work of the sector;- Use basic foreign languages, reaching level 2/6 in Vietnam's foreign language proficiency framework; apply foreign languages to the professional work of the sector.
