"Outstanding Physician" must have at least 20 years of service in the industry

Decree 41/2015/ND-CP stipulates that the title of "Outstanding Physician" is awarded to physicians who meet the following criteria:

- Loyal to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; well complying with the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party and the laws of the State, the rules and regulations of agencies, units, organizations, and localities.

- Possessing good moral qualities, dedicated to the profession, wholeheartedly loving the patients, and being trusted by the people, patients, and colleagues.

- Talented in disease prevention, treatment, and the development of medical science and technology.

- Physicians not falling under the objects at Point b of this Clause must meet the following criteria: Principal investigator of at least 02 institutional-level science and technology projects or participating in 02 ministry or provincial-level science and technology projects, environmental tasks or being the secretary of 01 ministry or provincial-level science and technology project, environmental task, or participating in 01 national-level science and technology project that has been accepted.

- Physicians working in mountainous communes, remote and isolated areas, border areas, and islands, must meet the following criteria: Principal investigator of 01 institutional-level science and technology project or principal investigator of 02 institutional technical innovation initiatives that have been accepted and effectively applied at the institution.

- Having many outstanding achievements in disease prevention, treatment, and the development of medical science and technology, meeting the following criteria: Received at least 01 award from the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam or received at least 03 ministry or provincial-level awards or has been awarded the title of Ministry or provincial-level Eminent Emulation Soldier 02 times and 01 ministry or provincial-level award or has been awarded the title of Institutional-level Eminent Emulation Soldier 06 times and at least 02 ministry or provincial-level awards.

- Having at least 15 years of direct technical expertise in the sector; for medical management staff, they must have at least 20 years of service in the sector, including at least 10 years of direct technical expertise.
