Prohibition of Exploiting Red Cross Activities for Personal Gain

The Law on Red Cross Activities 2008 was promulgated on June 3, 2008. The Law consists of 8 Chapters and 39 Articles. There are several prohibited acts stipulated in this Law.

To be specific, according to the provisions of Article 6 of the Law on Red Cross Activities 2008, the prohibited acts include:

First, obstructing or coercing organizations or individuals to participate in Red Cross activities.

Second, using or providing products, goods, and services of inadequate quality that cause harm to human health and life in Red Cross activities.

Third, falsifying reports, committing fraud, misappropriating, or unlawfully using money and in-kind contributions provided by organizations or individuals for Red Cross activities.

Fourth, taking advantage of Red Cross activities for purposes that infringe upon national security, order, and social safety.

Fifth, exploiting Red Cross activities for personal gain.

Sixth, requiring beneficiaries of assistance to pay costs for receiving, transporting, and distributing money and in-kind contributions in Red Cross activities.

Seventh, using the Red Cross symbol unlawfully.
