Position and Contents of Signboards at Agency and Unit Headquarters within the Ministry of Public Security

Circular 30 stipulates that the signage for the headquarters of agencies and units should be placed in a suitable position at the front of the main gate or the front of the headquarters (if the headquarters does not have a main gate) of agencies and units with independent headquarters, in accordance with architecture, easily observable, and with night illumination. Each agency or unit only places one sign; in case the position is out of sight, there must be a guide sign with a red background and yellow letters.

In the event that many agencies or units share a main gate, the signage will display the name of the directly managing unit or be placed according to the principle: The superior agency's sign is positioned above (or to the right of the main gate when viewed from the outside); if they are of the same level, the signage is positioned in alphabetical order of the Vietnamese names of the agencies or units.

Moreover, Circular 30 also stipulates that the content of the agency or unit sign is shown in the following order from top to bottom:

- National emblem or Public Security emblem;- Name of the managing unit or the name of the direct superior unit (if any);- Name of the agency or unit;- The phrase: “representative agency” or “permanent agency” (for representative or permanent agencies located in localities);- English name or other foreign language name;- Address of the agency or unit.

Note:

- The contents of the signage for the Ministry of Public Security are to be implemented according to Template BH1;- General Department, Command, units under the Ministry, units of department level, and equivalent units are implemented according to Template BH2a;- Permanent agencies or representative agencies of the General Department, Command, units under the Ministry, units of department level, and equivalent units are implemented according to Template BH2b;- Provincial and centrally-run Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Departments are implemented according to Template BH2c; units of office level and equivalent or lower levels are implemented according to Templates BH3a, BH3b, BH3c, BH3d.

All the aforementioned templates are issued along with Circular 30.
