New Regulations on Teaching Conditions for Information Technology at the College Level

Recently, Circular 11/2018/TT-BLDTBXH was issued regarding the Information Technology course program within the block of general courses in the intermediate and college-level training programs. This is the first Circular to specifically regulate this matter.

According to the new regulations, when conducting the Computer Science course, colleges must meet the following conditions:

1. Specialized classrooms/workshops

- Computer rooms with appropriate configurations. Rooms must be equipped with adequate lighting and air conditioning systems.- Tables and chairs for students.- Teachers’ desks and chairs, whiteboards, projectors, and whiteboard markers.

2. Equipment and machinery

- Computers with Windows operating system, Microsoft Office, utility software, and Internet connectivity.- Computer hardware devices include: Mainboard, CPU, Ram, Hard Drive, Graphics Card, Sound Card, Network Card, Computer Case, Power Supply, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Speakers; Basic network devices: Bridge, Repeater, Hub, Switch, Router, and Gateway.- One server managing all connected LAN client computers and one computer for the instructor.

3. Learning materials, tools, and supplies: Textbooks, lecture notes, practice exercises, reference materials.
