Manufacturers and Importers of Milk for Children under 6 Years Old Must Register Prices

On June 26, 2017, the Ministry of Industry and Trade promulgated Circular 08/2017/TT-BCT regulating the price registration and price declaration of milk and functional foods for children under 06 years old.

Circular 08 stipulates subjects to register prices for milk and functional foods intended for children under 06 years old as follows:

- Traders producing or importing milk shall register prices with the competent state authority during the period when the State implements price stabilization by means of price registration.- The Ministry of Industry and Trade announces the list of traders performing price registration for traders capable of influencing the formation and movement of prices nationwide.- The Provincial People's Committee announces the list of traders performing price registration in their locality except for traders listed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Periodically on July 1 every year or in the event of an extraordinary situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Provincial People's Committee shall review and notify adjustments to the list of traders performing milk price registration in their managed area.
