Introduction to Forestry at Intermediate Level and Job Positions Available after Graduation

Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs stipulates the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at intermediate and college levels for sectors, occupations in agriculture, forestry, fishery, and veterinary fields. It was promulgated on December 28, 2018.

in the Regulation on Minimum Knowledge Volume, Competency Requirements that Learners Must Achieve After Graduating from the Mid-level and College Levels in Forestry, issued as attached to Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that mid-level forestry is a profession that performs forestry technical tasks, meeting the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

Forestry professionals are capable of performing the following main tasks: Nursery production; forest planting design; planting, caring for, protecting, and developing forests; designing and organizing forest exploitation activities; participating in agricultural extension, and agricultural and forestry production business.

Note the minimum knowledge volume: 1400 hours (equivalent to 50 credits).

Importantly, after graduation, learners have the competency to meet the requirements for job positions in the sector, including:

- Nursery production;- Forest planting and care;- Forest protection;- Forest development;- Forest exploitation;- Agricultural forestry extension collaborator;- Agricultural forestry production business.

Furthermore, the minimum knowledge volume, and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the mid-level level in Forestry can continue to be developed at higher levels;

Graduates have the ability for self-learning, self-updating on scientific and technological advancements within the profession to enhance their qualifications or to transition to higher levels in the same profession or in the related field of training.
