To be specific, in order to maintain strict discipline and create a safe and healthy educational environment for the execution of imprisonment sentences, inmates must strictly comply with the regulations according to Clause 1 Article 1 of Circular 17/2020/TT-BCA, such as:
- Work and vocational training must be conducted at designated places, with strict adherence to discipline, safety, and labor hygiene; actively participate in work and vocational training under the guidance of officials, without obstructing others' work. Inmates who are ill and have a medical certificate from the prison facility's healthcare staff are allowed to rest from labor. They must uphold the responsibility to protect the property of the prison facility, their own property, and that of others, and promptly report any acts of infringement on such property to the prison facility's officials.- Strictly follow the guidance of officials when participating in education, cultural, entertainment, sports, and recreational activities. Apart from the time allocated for educational activities, labor, and common activities, religious inmates are allowed to use legally published religious scriptures once a week. Religious inmates must register with the prison facility for the use of religious scriptures and the expression of their personal religious beliefs at the location and time specified by the prison facility's head and ensure it does not affect others. The prison facility is responsible for managing and censoring religious scriptures before allowing inmates to use them.- Inmates are allowed to bring into their cells clothing, blankets, mosquito nets, mats, towels, slippers provided by the prison facility, along with 02 sets of personal clothes, 01 personal fabric pillow, plastic cup, toothbrush, toothpaste, plastic comb, plastic hair clips, censored books and newspapers, white paper, writing pens as regulated, plastic-framed prescription glasses, medicine prescribed by the prison facility's healthcare staff, sanitary items for women, children's necessities (if accompanied by their children in the prison facility), and storage bags according to regulations. Blankets, mosquito nets, mats, towels, clothing, pillows, and personal items must be neatly folded, organized, cleaned, and placed or dried at designated places.- Inmates with deposited money at the prison facility are allowed to purchase additional processed food and necessary items for personal living and study as regulated by the prison facility. When inmates need to provide mutual material support, they must request and obtain approval from responsible officials.
