The Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade promulgated Circular 30/2017/TT-BCT on December 26, 2017, specifying regulations on materials for manufacturing single hydraulic support girders.

Circular 30 stipulates that materials for manufacturing girders in Vietnam include carbon steel, white steel, hot-rolled tubular steel, hot-rolled flat steel, and metal structures according to TCVN 1765-1975 - Ordinary Carbon Steel, steel grades and technical requirements; TCVN 1766:1975 - Good Quality Carbon Steel - Steel Grades and Technical Requirements; TCVN 1823-1993 - Tool Alloy Steel, as stipulated in the approved drawings.

The manufacturing material for the main components is rolled steel with hardness under the regulations in Table 4 of this Vietnam Standard.

In special cases, the use of alternative materials provided that their mechanical properties are not inferior to the main components' manufacturing material for girders is allowed as stipulated in the table below:
