Establishment of Ea Sar Commune, Ea Kar District based on the adjustment to Ea So and Xuan Phu Communes in Vietnam

On August 27, 2007, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 137/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of communal administrative boundaries to establish communes within the following districts: Krong Ana, Ea Kar, Krong Buk, M'Drak, Ea H'Leo; and the adjustment of Krong Ana district's administrative boundaries to establish Cu Kuin district in Dak Lak province in Vietnam.

Establishment of Ea Sar Commune, Ea Kar District based on the adjustment to Ea So and Xuan Phu Communes in Vietnam (Internet image) 

Decree 137/2007/ND-CP adjusts administrative boundaries to establish Ea Sar Commune, belonging to Ea Kar District, Dak Lak Province. Ea Sar Commune is established in Ea Kar District based on the adjustment of 3,677 hectares of natural area and 4,739 inhabitants from Ea So Commune; 1,962 hectares of natural area and 1,772 inhabitants from Xuan Phu Commune in Vietnam. To be specific:

- Ea Sar Commune has a natural area of 5,639 hectares and 6,511 inhabitants.- Administrative boundaries of Ea Sar:- East: borders Ea So Commune, Ea Tih Commune, commune-level town Ea K Nop, Ea Kar District;- West: borders Xuan Phu Commune, Ea Dar Commune, commune-level town Ea Kar, Ea Kar District and Ea Dah Commune, Krong Nang District;- South: borders Ea Dar Commune, commune-level town Ea K Nop, Ea Kar District;- North: borders Ea So Commune, Ea Kar District and Ea Dah Commune, Krong Nang District.

After adjusting administrative boundaries in Vietnam:

- Xuan Phu Commune remains with 2,541 hectares of natural area and 5,622 inhabitants.

- Ea So Commune remains with 32,107 hectares of natural area and 3,205 inhabitants.

Ea Kar District has a natural area of 103,747 hectares and 141,724 inhabitants, comprising 16 administrative units, including the communes: Cu Hue, Ea Tih, Cu Yang, Cu Bong, Ea Dar, Ea So, Xuan Phu, Ea Pal, Cu Ni, Ea O, Ea Kmut, Cu Prong, Cu Elang, Ea Sar, and the commune-level towns Ea Kar and Ea K Nop.
