Employment Positions After Graduation for the Veterinary Field at College Level

On February 10, 2019, Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH of BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from intermediate and college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fishery, and veterinary medicine will take effect.

As stipulated in the regulations on the minimum amount of knowledge and required competencies that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate and college levels in Veterinary Medicine, issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is specified that after graduating from the Veterinary Medicine program at the college level, learners have the competence to meet the requirements in the job positions of the sector and occupation including:

- Disease prevention and control;- Disease diagnosis;- Disease treatment;- Extraction and formulation of semen;- Production of veterinary drugs;- Veterinary research and experimentation;- Business in animal feed, biological products, veterinary drugs, livestock and veterinary equipment/tools.

Additionally, the regulations on the ability for learners to pursue further studies and improve their proficiency are as follows:

- The minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the Veterinary Medicine program at the college level can be further developed at higher levels;- Learners after graduation have the ability to self-study and update scientific and technological advancements within the scope of the sector and occupation to improve their proficiency or pursue higher education levels in the same sector, occupation, or within the same field of study.
