On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) issued Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that students must achieve upon graduation from intermediate or college levels in the fields of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary science.

According to the Regulation on the minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduation at the intermediate and college levels in the field of Plant Protection issued under Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating in Plant Protection at the college level, learners are competent to meet the requirements at the job positions in the field, including:
- Pest investigation;- Pest forecasting;- Pest control;- Agricultural extension in plant protection;- Business of fertilizers and plant protection chemicals;- Testing of fertilizers and plant protection chemicals;- Plant quarantine;- Pest analysis and verification;- Quality control of fertilizers and residue of plant protection chemicals.
In addition, there are stipulations on the ability for further study and improvement after graduating in Plant Protection at the college level as follows:
- The minimum amount of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating in the field of Plant Protection at the college level can continue to develop at higher levels;- Graduates are capable of self-studying, updating scientific and technological advancements within the field to enhance their qualifications or pursue higher education in the same field, group of fields, or within the same training area.
