Recently, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 137/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of commune administrative boundaries for the establishment of communes under the districts: Krong Ana, Ea Kar, Krong Buk, M'Drak, Ea H'Leo; and the adjustment of the administrative boundaries of Krong Ana district to establish Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province.
Decree 137: Establishment of Ea Ning Commune with an area of 2,778 hectares and a population of 12,700 (Illustration)
Decree 137/2007/ND-CP stipulates the establishment of Ea Ning commune under Krong Ana district, Dak Lak province based on the adjustment of 2,778 ha of natural area and 12,700 inhabitants of Cu E Wi commune. Specifically:
- Ea Ning commune has 2,778 ha of natural area and 12,700 inhabitants.
- Administrative boundary of Ea Ning commune: East borders Cu E Wi commune, Krong Ana district, and Ea Knuec commune, Krong Pac district; West borders Ea Ktur commune, Ea Bhok commune; South borders Ea Bhok commune, Ea Hu commune; North borders Hoa Dong commune, Krong Pac district.
Thus, after the adjustment of administrative boundaries as follows:
- Cu E Wi commune remains with 3,233 ha of natural area and 10,004 inhabitants.
- Krong Ana district has 64,439 ha of natural area and 196,823 inhabitants, with 16 administrative units under its jurisdiction, including: Binh Hoa, Quang Dien, Dur Kmal, Bang Adrenh, Ea Bong, Ea Na, Dray Sap, Ea Tieu, Ea Ktur, Ea Bhok, Hoa Hiep, Ea Hu, Cu E Wi, Dray Bhang, Ea Ning communes, and Buon Trap commune-level town.
