Conditions for EMC immunity measurements in Vietnam

The Ministry of Information and Communications has promulgated Circular 28/2017/TT-BTTTT stipulating the National Technical Standards on electromagnetic compatibility for fixed wireless transmission equipment and auxiliary devices in Vietnam.

The EMC immunity measurement procedures must fully comply with the following specific conditions:

Reference to provisions in QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT Conditions related to specific products, additionally amended or modified measurement conditions in Article 2.2 of QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT
Quality criteria:


Voltage dip and voltage interruption or disturbance
Voltage interruption:


For voltage interruption, temporary loss of function is allowed, provided with self-recovery function or can be restored by manual control.

Additionally, Circular 28/2017/TT-BTTTT also sets forth general requirements for EMC immunity measurements, specifically:

- Requirements for EMC immunity on ports of radio devices and/or related auxiliary devices are stipulated in Table 4 of QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT.- For radio transmission devices in fixed service, only the parts with requirements for fixed-use radio equipment and auxiliary equipment in Table 4 of QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT shall be applied.
