Classification of Inland Waterway Vessels for Manning

To be specific, in accordance with Clause 4 of Article 1 of Circular 04/2017/TT-BGTVT amending and supplementing Article 18 of Circular 47/2015/TT-BGTVT, the classification of vehicles for crew assignment includes:

*Group I

- Passenger vehicles, overnight tourist accommodations, floating restaurants, floating hotels, hydrofoil vehicles, high-speed vehicles with a capacity of over 100 passengers;- Ferries with a total load capacity of over 150 tons;- Cargo vehicles with a total load capacity of over 1000 tons;- Towed flotillas with a total load capacity of over 1000 tons;- Vehicles not mentioned above with a total main engine power of over 400 horsepower.

*Group II

- Passenger vehicles, overnight tourist accommodations, floating restaurants, floating hotels, hydrofoil vehicles, high-speed vehicles with a capacity of 50 to 100 passengers;- Ferries with a total load capacity of 50 to 150 tons;- Cargo vehicles with a total load capacity of 150 to 1000 tons;- Towed flotillas with a total load capacity of 400 to 1000 tons;- Vehicles not mentioned above with a total main engine power of 150 to 400 horsepower.

*Group III

- Passenger vehicles, overnight tourist accommodations, floating restaurants, floating hotels, hydrofoil vehicles, high-speed vehicles with a capacity of 12 to 50 passengers;- Ferries with a total load capacity of up to 50 tons;- Cargo vehicles with a total load capacity of 15 to 150 tons;- Towed flotillas with a total load capacity of up to 400 tons;- Vehicles not mentioned above with a total main engine power of 15 to 150 horsepower.
