Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTBXH: Main Activities in the Children's Forum

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just signed and issued Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTBXH guiding the organization of children's forums.

The activities taking place in the children's forum include: Discussion session, meeting session, dialogue, and other activities. To be specific: detailed in Article 10 of Circular 29/2019/TT-BLDTTBXH:

First, the discussion session:

- The organizers, child caretakers, and volunteers provide information, guidance, and explanations to children regarding documents and materials related to the content of the children's forum in friendly, easy-to-understand language; promptly detect, support, and resolve obstacles and difficulties of children participating in the discussion session;

- Divide children into groups to discuss the issues and content of the forum;

- Children participate in the discussion, unify messages, opinions, recommendations, aspirations, questions, and issues to be exchanged in the meeting and dialogue session; the form of presenting the group discussion results;

- Select and appoint child representatives to present discussion results and deliver messages and recommendations to relevant agencies and organizations;

- Discuss and nominate children to participate in the higher-level children's forum (if any) according to the criteria specified in clause 1, Article 8 of this Circular.

Second, the meeting and dialogue session:

- Share the results of addressing children's recommendations at the previous children's forum (if any);

- Child representatives present discussion results; ask questions and exchange with representatives of relevant agencies and organizations;

- Representatives of relevant agencies and organizations respond to questions and explain the opinions and recommendations raised by children within the scope of their functions, tasks, and authority;

- Child representatives deliver the messages and recommendations of the children's forum to representatives of relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals.

Third, based on the duration, time, and budget of the children's forum, activities such as communication, sightseeing, cultural performances, physical exercise, sports, and other suitable activities may be organized.
