Characteristics of the Signboards of Headquarters and Units within the Ministry of Public Security

To be specific:, signboards of the Ministry of Public Security:

- Shape and size: The rectangular signboard must have a width of no less than 1200mm and a length of no less than 2400mm; the diameter of the national emblem must be no less than 390 mm; the design must be harmonious and suitable with the main gate or the front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security.- Material and color: The background is made of red Granite stone, the national emblem and embossed letters are made of yellow bronze;

Signboards of General Departments, Commands, subordinate units of the Ministry, departmental-level and equivalent units, Public Security, Fire Prevention and Fighting Police of centrally-run provinces and cities:

- Shape and size: The rectangular signboard must have a length of no less than 1600 mm and a width of no less than 800 mm; the design must be harmonious and suitable with the main gate or the front of the headquarters of the unit.- Material and color: The background is made of red Granite stone, the Public Security emblem is attached with a pair of pine branches around and the embossed letters are made of yellow bronze;

Signboards of department-level and equivalent units:

- Shape and size: The rectangular signboard of department-level and equivalent units must have a length of no less than 450mm and a width of no less than 350mm; the rectangular box-shaped signboard of ward-level units, stations, teams, and equivalent must have a length of no less than 450mm, a width of no less than 100mm, a height of no less than 350mm, with internal lighting installed; the signboard must be designed harmoniously, suitable with the main gate or the front of the headquarters of the unit.- Material and color: The frame of the signboard is made of metal; the background of the signboard is made of red Mica with yellow letters; the Public Security emblem is attached with a pair of yellow pine branches around.

Note, if a unit has the same name as another unit or locality, the signboard must include the name of the unit before the name of the managing unit or the higher administrative unit, separated by a dash ( - ), for example: "POLICE OF WARD 1 - DISTRICT 9". If the unit name has many words or numbers, it should be written in 2 or 3 lines, without hyphens at the beginning and end of each line.
