Which day is Vietnam Sports Day?

Based on Decision 25-CT in 1991, March 27 is the "Vietnam Sports Day".

Article 1 of Decision 25-CT in 1991 states that:

"March 27 of each year is designated as "Vietnam Sports Day".

"Vietnam Sports Day" is organized annually to attract all classes of people into the movement of physical training and healthy sports and cultural activities."

Thus, Vietnam Sports Day is March 27 each year.

In addition, Vietnam Sports Day also carries the significance of "The Call for the Entire Nation to Exercise" by President Ho Chi Minh, initiating the vigorous development of sports and physical training movements nationwide with the goal of Health for the Nation, as well as the country's sports foundation from then until now.

President Ho Chi Minh once said:

"Maintaining democracy, building the country, establishing a new life, everything requires health to succeed.
Each weak citizen makes the entire nation weaker; each healthy citizen contributes to the nation's strength.
Thus, practicing exercise, enriching health is to contribute to the nation's strength.
Thus, practicing exercise, enriching health is the duty of every patriotic person.
This does not cost much, is not difficult, everyone, regardless of gender, old or young, should do it and can do it. Each person, upon waking up, should exercise for a few minutes each day, letting the vital energy circulate, full of spirit. Such is health.
A strong people make a prosperous nation. I hope everyone will strive to exercise.
I myself exercise every day."
