Currently, there are no specific regulations regarding holiday schedules for students. Thus, students will study and take holidays according to their school and teacher's schedule.
According to Article 112 Labor Code 2019, the provisions regarding holidays are as follows:
Holidays
1. Employees are entitled to not work and receive full salary on the following holidays:
a) New Year's Day: 01 day (January 1 of the solar calendar);
b) Lunar New Year's Days: 05 days;
c) Victory Day: 01 day (April 30 of the solar calendar);
d) International Labor Day: 01 day (May 1 of the solar calendar);
dd) National Day: 02 days (September 2 of the solar calendar and 01 adjacent day before or after);
e) Hung Kings' Commemoration Day: 01 day (March 10 of the lunar calendar).
2. Foreign employees working in Vietnam, apart from the holidays prescribed in clause 1 of this Article, are also entitled to one traditional holiday and one National Day of their country.
3. Annually, depending on practical conditions, the Prime Minister of Vietnam specifies the holidays regulated in point b and point đ of clause 1 of this Article.

Issuing the framework for the academic year schedule 2024 - 2025 for preschool education, general education, and continuing education nationwide as follows:
1. The earliest school entry is one week before the opening ceremony date. For grade 1, the earliest school entry is two weeks before the opening ceremony date.
2. Organize the opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.
3. End the first semester before January 18, 2025, and complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.
4. Recognize the completion of the primary school program and the recognition of junior high school graduation before June 30, 2025.
5. Complete the admission for entry-level classes before July 31, 2025.
6. The 2025 national high school graduation exam is anticipated to take place on June 26 and June 27, 2025.
7. Other national exams are organized according to the regulations and guidance of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Thus, holidays that students may have off in the academic year of 2024-2025 including:
(1) New Year's Day
(2) Lunar New Year
(3) Victory Day (April 30 of the solar calendar)
(4) International Labor Day (May 1 of the solar calendar)
(5) National Day (September 2 of the solar calendar)
