What are the 04+ sample essays on a social activity you have participated in?
Students can refer to the following sample essays on a social activity you have participated in:
Sample No. 1 After the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, it left immense sorrow and loss both mentally and materially for each individual in the community, especially the children who lost their families and relatives, falling into difficult circumstances. By chance, when I read news articles related to this information, I registered to participate and fortunately became a member of the "True Love" project, a fund to support orphaned and struggling children due to COVID-19 in Ho Chi Minh City. Knowing the strategy set out by the organizers, I felt extremely excited and hoped that this precious experience would contribute my small effort to support orphaned and struggling children, giving them more motivation and strength to look toward the future. Moreover, the organizers desire to spread positive messages; promote the spirit of mutual affection and empathy, politeness, and compassion of the Vietnamese people in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, to help and care for the youth and people affected after the Covid-19 pandemic, and inspire those who persevered through difficulties; simultaneously, create a healthy recreational playground for youths, sports fans, and football lovers both domestically and internationally. The Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Youth Organizations anticipates raising funds and supporting at least 1,500 children and people in difficult circumstances within the city. According to the organizers, the legendary team from Borussia Dortmund Club will come to Vietnam to play against the Vietnam All Stars. The match will take place at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City) at 7:00 PM on September 28. After the match ends, the funds raised will be distributed to localities where there are orphaned children facing difficulties. At that time, voluntary students like us will follow the groups to the homes of these children to encourage, inquire, and give gifts to support the children spiritually. Throughout the voluntary trip, I still vividly remember the image of little Tran Mai A with teary eyes when recalling the challenging time of losing both parents, having to live with her frail grandmother, unable to earn a living. Taking care of her grandmother while scavenging for scraps for food is too much for an 8-year-old child. The child said something that made my heart stop and was choked at the moment. She said, "I only wish for my father and mother to come back to life." Participating in these activities, I have come to understand many lessons about the unfortunate lives in life. The Covid pandemic was too severe and grievous, taking away many reliable "shoulders" of the children, which can never be compensated. The lives of these children are truly harsh and challenging. The pain they endure will probably never be forgotten. Through this project, I also hope that I have contributed and spread happiness and living motivation to somewhat comfort these children. Thanks to this activity, I feel life is more worthwhile and that I am living more meaningfully. I hope that in the near future, I will have the opportunity to participate in more trips and philanthropic projects to contribute to beautifying life. |

Sample No. 2 Social activities bring many humanitarian values, and one of them is supporting the people of Central Vietnam in overcoming the aftermath of natural disasters organized by my school. The school initiated the campaign "For Beloved Central," calling for donations of clothing, food, school supplies, or money to support the residents. As the class president, I informed my classmates and received enthusiastic support. I donated old textbooks, bought more learning supplies, and contributed a small amount of money. Within a week, my class donated many meaningful items. At the weekend, the meaningful school trip began, carrying gifts to send to the people of Central Vietnam. I feel this activity is very meaningful and hope to continue participating in more charitable programs. |
Sample No. 3 "Love others as oneself" - That is the proverb conveying the lesson about compassion in life. From there, everyone needs to actively do good deeds. The land of Central Vietnam just went through a major storm. Although the locals took preventive measures such as reinforcing homes, storing food at high places, or evacuating from the storm center... the aftermath of the storm was still very severe, making their lives difficult. Therefore, people directed their attention to beloved Central Vietnam. Each charitable program organized brings immense significance. In response, my school also launched a movement: "For Beloved Central." The general supervisor had a meeting with class leaders. After that, the class president returned to inform the class members. We can support with new clothes, school supplies, or contribute a small amount of money. When hearing the class president announce, all the members of the class were very responsive. I was the same. I went home to tell my parents about it. Both felt it was a meaningful act. Therefore, my mother took me to the bookstore to buy some school supplies. Back home, I took out textbooks from the previous year and wrapped them carefully. My father also donated two hundred thousand dongs for me. Tomorrow, I will bring everything to give to the class president. I feel very grateful to my parents. The next morning, I brought those items myself to submit. Other class members did the same. Many new school supplies and clothes were brought. We tallied the collected items. After a week of receiving donations, the school's love trip set off to deliver the gifts to the people of Central Vietnam, especially the students. This charitable activity is very meaningful. I hope there will be many more activities like this to share and help more people. |
Sample No. 4 At the end of the year, a lively atmosphere filled the streets around. Every road and corner was dressed in new outfits to welcome the New Year. In harmony with that spirit, my neighborhood’s youth union organized a very meaningful activity: cleaning and decorating electric poles on the roads. This is an annual activity of the neighborhood, maintained for many years to preserve urban aesthetics. Previously, many electric poles were covered with advertisements, phone numbers, and scribbles, detracting from the general beauty of the street. Therefore, every Tet occasion, the youth union would set out to clean and decorate these electric poles. This year, I was very excited to participate with the older members for the first time. Early in the morning, we gathered at the cultural house to receive tools, including scrapers, cloths, paint, and brushes. My team was assigned to a road near the market. When we started, I realized that removing old flyers was not simple, as they were tightly stuck. Thanks to the guidance of the older members, I gradually became more adept and quicker. In just about 20 minutes, the electric poles were much cleaner. After cleaning, we began decorating. I was tasked with painting the base of the poles white, covering the old stains. Once the paint dried, the older members started painting vibrant images like apricot flowers, peach blossoms, square cakes, lanterns... The once-old electric poles now became lively and full of life. When the work was completed, we took commemorative photos together. Looking back at what we contributed to, I felt very happy and proud. On the way home, I did not forget to share these photos on social media to spread the spirit of preserving urban aesthetics to friends. This activity not only helped make the streets prettier but also taught me about the spirit of responsibility toward the community. I hope to participate in many more meaningful activities like this in the coming year! |
