1. Conditions for students to attend semi-boarding ethnic schools and semi-boarding students in Vietnam

Conditions for students to attend semi-boarding ethnic schools and semi-boarding students in Vietnam according to Article 2 of the Regulations issued with Circular 03/2023/TT-BGDDT are as follows:

- Conditions for students to attend semi-boarding ethnic schools: Students in primary and secondary education age within the enrollment area of the school as prescribed by the competent authority.

- Semi-boarding students: students who are eligible for support policies approved by the competent authority according to the regulations of the Government, because they are unable to travel to and from school or school points on a daily basis.

2. Organization structure of semi-boarding ethnic schools in Vietnam

The organization structure of semi-boarding ethnic schools according to Article 6 of the Regulations issued with Circular 03/2023/TT-BGDDT is as follows:

- The organizational structure of the semi-boarding ethnic school is implemented according to the regulations in the Charter of the school. In addition, each school has an additional Semi-Boarding Student Management Team to carry out the tasks of managing, nurturing, and caring for boarding students.

- The Semi-Boarding Student Management Team has a team leader, and if there are seven or more members, there will be a deputy team leader. The team leader and deputy team leader are appointed by the principal and are under the management and direction of the principal. The Semi-Boarding Student Management Team has the following tasks:

+ Develop plans and organize the management, nurturing, and care of semi-boarding students on a weekly, monthly, semester, and academic year basis; coordinate with specialized teams to develop and implement the school's educational plans;

+ Organize meetings at least once every two weeks to review and implement the team's tasks and may hold emergency meetings as required by work or as requested by the principal;

+ Perform other tasks assigned by the principal.

3. Regulations on educational activities of semi-boarding ethnic schools in Vietnam

Regulations on educational activities of semi-boarding ethnic schools according to Article 11 of the Regulations issued with Circular 03/2023/TT-BGDDT are as follows:

- Education programs and educational plans

Semi-boarding ethnic schools implement education programs and educational plans according to the regulations in the Charter of the school.

- Educational activities

Semi-boarding ethnic schools carry out educational activities according to the regulations in the Charter of the school and the following specific educational activities:

+ Educate students on the Party and State's ethnic policies; the cultural identity and good traditions of ethnic groups; life skills; and environmental protection;

+ Educate students on school hygiene, improve the living, eating, and studying conditions of students;

+ Organize cultural, artistic, and physical education activities; visit ethnic festivals, cultural exchanges to contribute to the preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of ethnic groups;

+ Organize collective cooking for semi-boarding students to ensure hygiene and food safety; take care of students' health.

4. Duties and powers of semi-boarding ethnic schools in Vietnam

According to Article 4 of the Regulations issued with Circular 03/2023/TT-BGDDT, semi-boarding ethnic schools perform their duties and exercise their powers according to the current regulations in the Charter of the school and the following duties and powers:

- Organize the approval of semi-boarding students according to the regulations of the Government.

- Organize the management, education, nurturing, and care of semi-boarding students.

- Organize educational activities according to the regulations in Section 2 of Article 11 of the Regulations issued with Circular 03/2023/TT-BGDDT.

- Implement the regime and policies for management officials, teachers, staff, and students as prescribed by the State.

- Implement socialization to serve the educational activities of the school.

- Coordinate with families and society in the management, education, nurturing, and care of semi-boarding students.
