Vietnam: Holding a festival without toilets shall be fined up to VND 3 million

This is one of the outstanding contents of the Decree No. 28/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government amending a number of articles ofDecree No. 158/2013/NĐ-CP on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on culture, sports, tourism, and advertisement.

According to Decree No. 28/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, a fine of from VND 1,000,000  to VND 3.000.000  shall be imposed for the violation that toilets are unavailable or available but unsatisfied with standards as prescribed in the festival or historic sites.

This fine shall also be imposed for:

- Failure to establish a festival organizing board as prescribed;

- Selling tickets, charging for participation in festivals.

Moreover, Decree No. 28/2017/NĐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government also provides amendments to the Government's Decree No. 131/2013/ND-CP on penalties for administrative violations against copyrights and related rights.
