Prime Minister decides to simplify procedures for recognizing national tourism areas in Vietnam

The procedures for recognizing national tourist areas in Vietnam have been simplified with specific details stipulated in Section II of the Plan issued with Decision 1206/QD-TTg in 2024 as follows:

- Simplification content:

+ Supplementing methods and regulations for administrative procedure implementation: Submit documents directly, via postal service, or through electronic means.

Reason: Previously, the lack of regulation on submission methods led to inconvenience for agencies and units performing administrative procedure. Fully supplementing document submission methods will facilitate administrative procedure implementation, ensuring publicity, transparency, and promptness, thereby reducing time and compliance costs.

+ Developing and clarifying procedures and regulations for the process of recognizing national tourist areas.

Reason: To further clarify the implementation process in dossier appraisal and responsibility determination of relevant parties in resolving procedures for recognizing national tourist areas, ensuring clarity, transparency, and convenience for implementing and resolving administrative procedure agencies.

+ Reducing the time for administrative procedure implementation during the appraisal of dossiers for recognizing national tourist areas to 42 days.

Reason: Reducing the waiting time for administrative procedure result resolution facilitates agencies and units requesting appraisal for national tourist area recognition. It accelerates the compiling and completion of specialized dossiers before submission to competent authorities for review and approval, while also enhancing the responsibility of officials in the performance of their duties.

+ Developing a supplementary explanatory model regarding the conditions for recognizing national tourist areas in Vietnam.

Reason: Ensuring publicity and transparency, simplifying administrative procedure, facilitating agencies and units during implementation, and reducing time and compliance costs.

More details can be found in Decision 1206/QD-TTg issued on October 17, 2024.
