Fines for trading pesticides which are not on the List of pesticides permitted in Vietnam applied from February 18, 2020

On January 03, 1010, the Government of Vietnam issued the Decree No. 04/2020/NĐ-CP issued by Vietnam’s Government on January 03, 2020 providing amendments to Decree No. 31/2016/NĐ-CP dated May 06, 2016 on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on plant varieties, plant protection and quarantine, and Decree No. 90/2017/ND-CP dated July 31, 2017 on penalties for administrative violations against regulations on veterinary medicine.

Fines for trading pesticides which are not on the List of pesticides permitted in Vietnam applied from February 18, 2020 are specified as follows:

- A fine ranging from VND 3,000,000 to VND 5,000,000 if the value of traded pesticides is less than VND 5,000,000;

- A fine ranging from VND 5,000,000 to VND 10,000,000 if the value of traded pesticides is from VND 5,000,000 to under VND 15,000,000;

- A fine ranging from VND 10,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 if the value of traded pesticides is from VND 15,000,000 to under VND 30,000,000;

- A fine ranging from VND 20,000,000 to VND 30,000,000 if the value of traded pesticides is from VND 30,000,000 to under VND 50,000,000;

- A fine ranging from VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 if the value of traded pesticides is from VND 50,000,000 to under VND 100,000,000;
