On May 09, 2017, the Government of Vietnam approved Decree 55/2017/ND-CP stipulating the management of farming, processing, and exporting Tra fish products.
Exported Tra fish products must meet the following conditions:
- Processed from a Tra fish processing facility that meets sufficient conditions. If there is no processing facility that meets the sufficient conditions, the organization or individual exporting Tra fish must have:- A contract to purchase Tra fish products processed at a Tra fish processing facility that meets the conditions, or;- A processing contract with the processing facility owner.- Comply with the quality and food safety conditions for Tra fish products and the regulations of the importing country.
Note: Organizations and individuals, when carrying out export procedures for Tra fish products to customs authorities, do not need to present documents proving the above conditions. The customs procedures for Tra fish products shall be implemented according to the provisions of the Customs Law.
Decree 55/2017/ND-CP takes effect from July 01, 2017, replacing Decree 36/2014/ND-CP.
