Guidelines on integrating remote sensing data into the national remote sensing image database in Vietnam from February 18, 2025

The integration of remote sensing data into the national remote sensing image database in Vietnam is conducted according to the provisions in Article 5 of Circular 41/2024/TT-BTNMT as follows:

- Remote sensing image data collected at the national remote sensing data reception station, remote sensing image data purchased from state budget sources, remote sensing metadata gathered from ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam, provincial-level People's Committees, and remote sensing products must be verified and accepted in accordance with regulations before being integrated into the national remote sensing image database.

- Integrating remote sensing data into the national remote sensing image database is the process of synchronizing updated data into the national remote sensing image database based on the delivery results from ministries, ministerial-level agencies, agencies under the Government of Vietnam, and provincial-level People's Committees to the operating unit of the national remote sensing image database system.

+ Work Steps: review and address data issues before integrating into the national remote sensing image database (format, data characteristics, status, data source, year of implementation, quantity); inspect the management object list and detailed information (management object name, descriptive information, influencing factors, construction needs); synchronize data into the national remote sensing image database system; synchronize standardized digital spatial data into the database; synchronize all font information content according to TCVN 6909; verify the database content after synchronization (completeness, spatial and attribute accuracy of data, metadata);

+ Products: data issue review and processing report as per Form No. 11 of the Appendix attached to Circular 41/2024/TT-BTNMT; database content verification report after synchronization as per Form No. 12 of the Appendix attached to Circular 41/2024/TT-BTNMT.

- Implementation time: The operating unit of the national remote sensing image database performs this process 4 times a year on the last days of the third month of each quarter.
