- The retail pharmacy owner must have a Pharmaceutical Practice Certificate suitable for each form of retail pharmacy business.- Except for herbal medicine retail establishments, the retail pharmacy must:- Have a fixed and separate location; situated in a high, well-ventilated, safe place, far from sources of pollution, and have a signboard;- The retail location must be solidly constructed, have a dust-proof ceiling, walls, and floor that are easy to clean, adequately lit but not directly exposed to sunlight;- The area should be suitable for the scale of business, with sections for displaying, preserving medicines and for buyers to contact and exchange information on the use of medicines with the retailer;- Allocate additional space for other activities;- Have cabinets, shelves, and racks to preserve medicines that meet regulatory requirements;- In case of selling cosmetics, functional foods, and medical instruments in addition, they must be divided into separate areas, not displayed with medicines.

Decree 102/2016/ND-CP came into effect on July 1, 2016.
