Amendment to Certification Forms, Technical Safety Records, and Environmental Protection Certificates Issued for Ships from September 01, 2024 in Vietnam

Upon the proposal of the Director of the Legal Department and the Director of the Vietnam Register, the Minister of Transport issues a Circular amending and supplementing a number of provisions of Circular 20/2022/TT-BGTVT dated July 29, 2022 of the Minister of Transport of Vietnam on the certification Forms, technical safety records, and environmental protection certificates issued for ships, floating docks, floating storage units, mobile platforms, inland waterway vessels and industrial products used for inland waterway vessels.

Forms No. III.04, III.05, III.06, III.07 and III.08 in Appendix III issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGTVT are replaced by Forms No. III.04, III.05, III.06, III.07 and III.08 in the Appendix issued with Circular 26/2024/TT-BGTVT. Specifically, as follows:

- Form No. III.04 is the Certificate of Design Approval for Inland Waterway Vessel;

- Form No. III.05 is the Certificate of Design Approval for Modified Inland Waterway Vessel;

- Form No. III.06 is the Certificate of Design Approval for Converted Inland Waterway Vessel;

- Form No. III.07 is the Certificate of Design Approval for Prototype Inland Waterway Vessel;

- Form No. III.08 is the Certificate of Design Verification and Approval for Inland Waterway Vessel as per the template.

Simultaneously, the phrase “submarine” is added after the term  ship” in the title of the Circular, Article 1, Article 2, Clause 1 of Article 4, Article 6, Article 7, and the title of Appendix I issued with Circular 20/2022/TT-BGTVT.
