Addressing Obstacles when Soliciting Expertise by Agencies Authorized to Conduct Certain Investigative Activities of the People’s Public Security Forces

Resolving Difficulties in Appraisal Requests by Agencies Assigned to Conduct Certain CAND Investigation Activities

To promptly address the difficulties and obstacles in implementing procedures for requesting appraisals and asset valuations by agencies assigned with certain investigation activities of the People's Police, the Ministry of Public Security and the Supreme People's Procuracy jointly guide the coordination in implementing procedures for appraisal requests and asset valuations by these agencies.

Specifically, the guidance on sending proposal documents, appraisal request decisions, and asset valuation requests; appraisal conclusions, and asset valuation conclusions between agencies are as follows:

- Within 24 hours from the time of issuing the proposal document requesting the Investigation Agency to issue an appraisal request decision or asset valuation request, the agency assigned to conduct certain investigation activities of the People's Police must send it to the Prosecutor’s Office at the same level as the requested Investigation Agency.

- Within 24 hours from the time of issuing the appraisal request decision or asset valuation request, the Investigation Agency must send the decision or request to the Prosecutor’s Office at the same level and the agency assigned to conduct certain investigation activities that made the proposal in writing.

- Within 24 hours from the time of receiving the appraisal conclusion or asset valuation conclusion, the Investigation Agency must notify in writing and transfer the conclusion to the Prosecutor’s Office at the same level and the agency assigned to conduct certain investigation activities that made the proposal in writing.
