Lists of sectors and GHG emission facilities subject to GHG inventory development in Vietnam updated in 2024

The list of sectors and GHG emission facilities subject to GHG inventory development in Vietnam updated in 2024 includes:

- List of sectors required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory in Appendix I;

- List of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory under the industry and trade sector in Appendix II;

- List of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory under the transport sector in Appendix III;

- List of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory under the construction sector in Appendix IV;

- List of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory under the natural resources and environment sector in Appendix V;

- List of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory under the agriculture and rural development sector in Appendix VI.

More details can be found in Decision 13/2024/QD-TTg, effective from October 1, 2024, replacing Decision 01/2022/QD-TTg dated January 18, 2022, on the list of sectors and GHG emission facilities subject to GHG inventory development in Vietnam.

Emission sources listed in Decision 01/2022/QD-TTg but not included in this Decision are not obligated to conduct and submit the facility-level greenhouse gas inventory report in 2025.

The Minister, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Heads of agencies under the Government of Vietnam, Chairpersons of People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, legal representatives of facilities listed in the list of emission sources required to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory are responsible for implementing Decision 13/2024/QD-TTg.
