Cu Kuin District, Dak Lak Province established based on the adjustment of Krong Ana District

On August 27, 2007, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 137/2007/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of communal administrative boundaries to establish communes within the following districts: Krong Ana, Ea Kar, Krong Buk, M'Drak, Ea H'Leo; and the adjustment of Krong Ana district's administrative boundaries to establish Cu Kuin district in Dak Lak province.

Decree 137/2007/ND-CP establishes Cu Kuin District in Dak Lak Province based on the adjustment of 28,830 hectares of natural area and 109,770 inhabitants from Krong Ana District (including the entirety of the natural area and population of the communes: Ea Tieu, Ea Ktur, Ea Bhok, Hoa Hiep, Day Bhang, Ea Hu, Cu E Wi, Ea Ning).

Cu Kuin District has 28,830 hectares of natural area and 109,770 inhabitants, with 8 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Ea Tieu, Ea Ktur, Ea Bhok, Hoa Hiep, Dray Bhang, Ea Hu, Cu E Wi, and Ea Ning.

Administrative boundaries of Cu Kuin District: East borders Krong Pac District and Krong Bong District; West borders Buon Ma Thuot City and Krong Ana District; South borders Krong Ana District and Krong Bong District; North borders Buon Ma Thuot City and Krong Pac District.

Thus, after adjusting the administrative boundaries, Krong Ana District remains with 35,609 hectares of natural area and 87,053 inhabitants, with 8 subordinate administrative units, including the communes: Binh Hoa, Quang Dien, Dur Kmal, Bang Adrênh, Ea Bong, Ea Na, Dray Sap, and commune-level town Buon Trap.

Dak Lak Province has 14 subordinate administrative units, including the districts: Krong Ana, Ea Kar, Krong Buk, M'Drak, Ea H'Leo, Cu M'Gar, Buon Don, Ea Sup, Krong Bong, Krong Nang, Lak, Krong Pac, Cu Kuin, and Buon Ma Thuot City.
