The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just issued Official Dispatch 2772/GDDT-KHTC on the guidance for the collection and use of tuition fees and other fees for the 2020 – 2021 academic year at public educational and training institutions in Ho Chi Minh City.
Continue implementing the tuition fee levels according to Decision 34/2016/QD-UBND dated September 13, 2016, of the People's Committee of the city on the implementation of Decree 86/2015/ND-CP dated October 2, 2015, of the Government of Vietnam on regulations on the structure of fees, the use of tuition fees in educational institutions under the national education system, and policies for tuition fee exemption and reduction, supporting study costs from the academic year 2016 – 2017 to the academic year 2020 – 2021 in Ho Chi Minh City and Resolution 25/2018/NQ-HDND dated December 7, 2018, of the City People's Council on adjusting the tuition fee levels for students in public schools in Ho Chi Minh City. + Group 2: Students at schools in the districts of Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, Cu Chi, Nha Be, Can Gio.
Notably, all fees must be fully and publicly communicated in writing to each student's parent (clearly stating the details of regulated fees, fees by agreement for collection and disbursement); when collecting fees, receipts must be issued to each student through the school's accounting department, under no circumstances should teachers collect or disburse money directly, and financial management policies must be fully implemented as prescribed.
Simultaneously, educational institutions must publicly post and disseminate directive documents to all teachers, students' parents, and staff as directed by management levels; units are requested to extend fee collection time, not to collect multiple fees at the same time.
