Below is notable content stipulated in Official Dispatch 4869/UBND-SYT of the People's Committee of Da Nang, Vietnam, on urgently implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.

To promptly implement strict measures to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the city, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang requests the Department of Tourism to urgently implement the following:
- Work with tourism service providers, travel agencies, accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, boats, tourist transport vehicles, and tourism service establishments to suspend the organization of welcoming tourists to Da Nang for 14 days from July 26th, 2020, to ensure the safety of guests and the community until further notice.
- For accommodation facilities during the suspension mentioned above, if there are special cases, the units are required to report to the Department of Tourism and the People's Committees of districts and communes for opinions from the competent authorities.
- For businesses and service establishments currently conducting tourism programs or providing services, they shall continue to serve guests diligently until the end of the trip and apply measures to ensure COVID-19 prevention and control, such as providing medical masks, sanitizing solutions, setting up handwashing areas with soap, and regularly reminding guests to use them.
- Proactively review and negotiate with accommodation facilities to propose establishing quarantine centers for foreign arrivals (if any) in Da Nang.
- Inform tourists about the city's epidemic situation to make appropriate plans.
In addition, the People's Committee of Da Nang requests further implementation of Directive 19/CT-TTg dated April 24th, 2020, of the Prime Minister on continuing COVID-19 prevention and control in the new situation. The implementation period starts at 1:00 PM on July 26th, 2020, until further notice, focusing on the following points:
- Regularly wash hands with soap or hand sanitizers; wear masks when going out; maintain a safe distance when in contact; do not gather more than 30 people in public places, outside of offices, schools, and hospitals; maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter when in contact.
- Suspend festivals, religious ceremonies, sports competitions, and unnecessary events with large crowds in public places, stadiums, and large-scale events.
- Suspend non-essential service businesses (amusement parks, entertainment venues, beauty salons, karaoke, massage, bars, nightclubs, etc.).
- Commercial service businesses (wholesale and retail, lottery sales, hotels, accommodation establishments, restaurants, eateries, etc.), except for those mentioned above, sports training areas, historical sites, and scenic spots can continue to operate but must implement measures to ensure disease prevention and control, such as providing protective equipment for staff, measuring the body temperature of visitors, arranging sufficient means and supplies for handwashing and sanitizing at the establishments, and ensuring social distancing.
- Inter-provincial and intra-provincial public transportation activities can continue to operate, but they must implement measures to ensure disease prevention and control as prescribed by competent authorities.
- Reduce the number of students in classrooms, arrange staggered schedules for studying, lunch, and group activities to ensure that there is no overcrowding; conduct disinfection and cleaning of classrooms; combine online learning; and implement disease prevention measures for students.
- Factories and production facilities can continue to operate and implement disease prevention measures for workers and employees.
- The heads of agencies, units, organizations, and establishments are responsible for developing appropriate work plans to ensure the safety of officials and employees; do not organize unnecessary meetings, conferences, or delay work, especially tasks with legal deadlines; and continue to provide public services for people and businesses.
For events serving political, economic, and social purposes that are truly necessary and must be organized, the decision and implementation of disease prevention and control measures such as wearing masks, hand sanitizing, sitting with distance, health monitoring, and refraining from organizing banquets and celebrations will be made by the Party committees and local authorities.
