1. First registration of reserve officers in Vietnam

- Within 15 working days from the date on which the subjects register for reserve officer rank and return to their place of residence or place of work (according to the recommendation letter of the competent agency or unit), they must bring the introduction letter and reserve officer card to the commune-level military command board, the district-level military command board where there is no commune-level administrative unit, or the military command board of an agency or organization to register for the rank of reserve officer.

In case an agency or organization does not have a military command board, the head or lawful representative of the agency or organization shall organize for the above subjects to go to the commune-level military command board at their place of residence for registration;

- Within 10 working days, the commune-level Military Commands or the Military Command of the agency or organization shall compile a list of registered reserve officers and report to the Military Command of the district where the reserve officer resides, trains, or works for management.

2. Registration for additional reserve officers in Vietnam

- Within 15 working days from the date on which the reserve officer changes the registered elements, they must go to the commune-level military command, or to the district-level military command where there is no commune-level administrative unit, or to the military command of an agency or organization for additional registration.

In case an agency or organization does not have a military command board, the head or lawful representative of the agency or organization is responsible for organizing the reserve officer to go to the commune-level military command board at his/her place of residence for additional registration;

- Monthly, the Commune-level Military Commands and the Military Commands of agencies and organizations shall synthesize additional registrations of reserve officers and report them to the District-level Military Commands.

3. Registration for transferring reserve officers in Vietnam

- Reserve officers before moving their place of residence or place of work, train, or work from one district to another.

- Within 15 working days from the date of arrival at the place of residence, new employment, train, or work, the reserve officers must go to the Military Command of the commune, the Military Command of the district where there is no commune-level administrative unit, or the Military Command of the destination agency or organization to register as provided for in Clause 1 of this Article.

4. Registration for the absence of reserve officers in Vietnam

- Reserve officers in their absence at their place of residence or where they are working, studying, or working:

+ If he is absent for 30 days or more, the reserve officer must report to the commune-level military command, or the agency or organization where he is working, studying, or working. Every month, if a reserve officer is absent, the Commune-level Military Commands and the Military Commands of the agencies or organizations shall summarize and report to the District-level Military Commands;

+ Reserve officers who have been arranged for or appointed to reserve mobilization units are absent for 3 months or more, the district-level military commands must notify the units receiving the reserve officers' resources; When there is an order for general or partial mobilization, reserve officers must immediately return to their places of residence, or where they are working, studying, or working, to be ready to take on their duties.

- Reserve officers who are sent to work, study, or work abroad or go abroad for personal reasons:

From 1 year or more, reserve officers must report to the Commune-level Military Command, the District-level Military Command where there is no commune-level administrative unit, or the Military Command of the agency or organization where the reserve officer works, study, work, and submit their reserve officer card;

Within 10 working days from the date the reserve officer goes abroad, the commune-level military commands, or military commands of agencies or organizations where reserve officers are working, studying or working must go to district-level military commands to register long-term absences and return the reserve officer card;

Within 15 working days from the date of returning to the place of residence, or the place of work, study or work,
Reserve officers must go to the commune-level military commands, to the district-level military commands where there are no commune-level administrative units, or the military commands of the agencies or organizations where they work, study, work to re-register;

For less than 1 year, reserve officers must return their reserve officer cards to the commune-level military command boards, the district-level military commands where there are no commune-level administrative units or Military Commands of agencies and organizations where reserve officers work, study or work.

Within 10 working days from the date the reserve officer goes abroad or returns home from abroad, the Commune-level Military Command or the Military Command of the agency or organization shall have to summarize and report to the Military Command of the district where they reside.

5. Separate registration for reserve officers in Vietnam

- Reserve officers who are exempted from calling up for active duty service in wartime according to the provisions of Articles 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9; within 15 working days from the date on which the reserve officer receives the decision on appointment to the above position, if there is no military command, the head or lawful representative of the agency or organization where the reserve officer is working, studying, or studying shall notify in writing the Military Command of the local district to register to be exempted from calling up for active duty service in wartime;

- Reserve officers who no longer hold the positions specified at Point a of this Clause, within 10 working days, from the date of discontinuance of holding positions subject to exemption from conscription to serve in the army during wartime, the military commanding committees of agencies or organizations where there is no military command, the head, or lawful representative of the agency or organization, shall notify in writing the district-level military command of the place of residence for re-registration.
