Orientation for application and development of biotechnology?
In Decision 569/QD-TTg dated May 11, 2022, the Prime Minister set out the orientation for development and application of biotechnology as follows:
- In health care, disease diagnosis and treatment, focusing on research and application of gene technology and stem cells to treat dangerous diseases; to research and produce diagnostic biological products, vaccines and therapeutic drugs in time for the prevention and control of emerging and re-emerging diseases in humans; research and develop herbal sources, produce medicines and health foods according to regulations on food safety.
- In agriculture, focus on biotechnology to create varieties of crops, livestock and aquatic products with high productivity, quality and added value, suitable to ecological conditions and climate change. in Vietnam; biotechnology to help control and treat environmental pollution in cultivation, animal husbandry and aquaculture; production of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, veterinary drugs, diagnostic biological products, biological products for animal feed processing, biological drugs for the prevention of pests and diseases, biological products for the production of fertilizers functional fertilizers, microbial organic fertilizers.
- In the processing industry, focus on research and manufacture of biological products for food processing in order to increase the added value of agricultural products; master the technological process, manufacture synchronous equipment in the biological industry.
- In environmental protection, focus on recovering and recycling by-products, treating environmental pollution by biotechnology; conservation, storage and rational exploitation of rare and precious genetic resources; protect biodiversity.

- Research and application of atomic energy, nuclear technology and radiation in socio-economic sectors and fields; solutions to ensure radiation safety and nuclear safety, especially in healthcare, agriculture, industry and environment.
In the context of fossil energy sources becoming increasingly scarce and expensive, the research and development of renewable energy technologies is an indispensable thing to help ensure the stability and sustainable development of the land. country.

According to Decision 569/QD-TTg dated May 11, 2022, the Prime Minister orients the application and development of space technology as follows:
- Focused investment in a number of space technology fields, promoting exploration, exploitation and use of outer space for peaceful purposes including: earth science, observation and monitoring the earth; space science; exploration systems; space activities and related fields.
- Strengthening capacity in natural resources and environment management, monitoring and supporting to reduce damage caused by natural disasters, ensuring national defense and security, providing diverse services to the people.
- Researching, acquiring and mastering techniques and technologies for designing and manufacturing a number of important equipment used in small satellites, earth stations, and terminals.
