Official schedule for the Lunar New Year Holiday 2021 for all teachers and students in Hanoi

On November 05, 2021, the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi city issued Official Dispatch 47/SGDDT-VP regarding the Lunar New Year Holiday 2021 for the education and training sector in Hanoi.

The Department of Education and Training of Hanoi city guides units and schools on the schedule for the Lunar New Year Holiday 2021 as follows:

- For officials of the Department of Education and Training of Hanoi city; the Education and Training Divisions at districts, suburban areas, and towns:

Holiday shall start from Wednesday, February 10, 2021, to the end of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 (equivalent to the 29th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Rat to the 5th day of the first lunar month of 2021).

- For kindergartens, primary schools, lower and upper secondary schools, vocational education centers, continuing education centers, and the Educational Personnel Training School of Hanoi:

Holiday shall start from Monday, February 8, 2021, to the end of Tuesday, February 16, 2021 (equivalent to the 27th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Rat to the 5th day of the first lunar month of 2021).

Additionally, Official Dispatch 47/SGDDT-VP outlines tasks to be performed during the Tet holiday, including

- Strictly comply with Directive No. 44/CT-TTg, dated December 21, 2020, from the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, on strengthening measures to ensure a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical celebration of the Lunar New Year 2021.

- Schools should specifically inform all their staff, teachers, employees, and students of the holiday schedule and strictly assign duties and security during the Tet holiday.

- Based on actual conditions, units should care for the material and spiritual lives of their staff, teachers, employees, and students. Properly organize visits and aids for staff, teachers, families under policy conditions, and families in difficult circumstances, so everyone has the means to enjoy a healthy, safe, and economical Tet.

- Coordinate with related units to propagate and educate students on the importance of maintaining a civilized and elegant lifestyle, complying with social order and safety, traffic safety; not participating in illegal racing or cheering for illegal racing; not gambling or engaging in other social vices; not transporting, storing, or exploding fireworks or other dangerous activities.

- Reporting regime: Tet duty schedules of units and Reports on Tet preparation should be sent to the Department of Education and Training before January 31, 2021; Summarized reports on the situation before, during, and after Tet should be sent before 09:00 AM on February 17, 2021 (6th day of Tet) via email: vanphongso@hanoiedu.vn

Official Dispatch 47/SGDDT-VP is issued on January 5, 2021.
