Recently, the Government of Vietnam officially issued Decree 08/2020/ND-CP on the organization and operation of bailiffs.
The Enforcement Officer has the authority to organize the enforcement of judgments upon the request of involved parties for the judgments and decisions specified in Article 51 of Decree 08/2020/ND-CP as follows:

- Final first-instance judgments and decisions of People's Courts of districts, towns, district-level cities, provincially governed cities, and equivalent (hereinafter referred to as district-level People's Courts); final first-instance judgments and decisions of provincial-level People's Courts where the Enforcement Office is headquartered.
- Appellate judgments and decisions of provincial-level People's Courts, where the Enforcement Office is headquartered, regarding non-final first-instance judgments and decisions of district-level People's Courts; appellate judgments and decisions of high-level People's Courts regarding non-final first-instance judgments and decisions of provincial-level People's Courts where the Enforcement Office is headquartered.
- Cassation and retrial decisions of high-level People's Courts concerning final judgments and decisions of district-level People's Courts and provincial-level People's Courts where the Enforcement Office is headquartered.
Note that the Enforcement Officer shall not organize the enforcement of parts of the judgment or decision that fall under the jurisdiction of the Head of the Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency to proactively issue enforcement decisions as regulated in Clause 2, Article 36 of the Law on Civil Judgment Enforcement.
