Watercraft Maintenance Work

According to Circular 35, the watercraft maintenance work includes the maintenance activities of watercraft at sea, at the port, and on a daily basis. To be specific:

- Maintenance of watercraft at sea is the activity of maintaining equipment and machinery when the watercraft operates at sea.- Maintenance of watercraft at the port is the activity of running the main engine without engaging the propeller and operating auxiliary machinery and equipment when the watercraft is docked.- Daily maintenance activities of watercraft include daily preservation and maintenance of machinery and equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendations to ensure readiness for search and rescue (SAR) operations.

Professional Training Work

Professional training work includes professional training activities at sea, at the port, and combined professional training at sea. To be specific:

- Professional training at sea is the activity of SAR professional training when the watercraft operates at sea. SAR professional training at sea must be combined with watercraft maintenance work.- SAR professional training at the port is the activity of SAR professional training when the watercraft is docked at the port.- Combined professional training at sea is the SAR professional training activity at sea when there are 2 or more watercraft involved in implementing a training scenario.
