Vocational Education and Training Instructors in Practical Training and Essential Regulations

According to Circular 03, vocational education practical instructors perform the following duties:

- Conduct practical teaching at the college and intermediate levels; teach at the primary level;- Educate students on professional ethics and industrial work styles through the teaching process;- Assess students' learning outcomes and graduation exam results;- Complete forms and manage class records as assigned and regulated;- Guide students in special projects, graduation theses (if any); coach students for various skill competitions;- Compile teaching materials and resources; provide feedback to develop assigned program modules and subjects;- Participate in designing and constructing specialized classrooms; design, innovate, and create vocational education tools and equipment;- Engage in standardization and advanced training; intern at enterprises or specialized agencies; attend lessons and exchange teaching experiences;- Participate in training sessions for teachers and instructors as required for professional and departmental development in vocational education institutions;- Apply scientific and technical advancements or innovations in teaching and professional practice; guide internships, combining them with productive labor;- Participate in professional and operational activities;- Engage in management duties, Communist Party work, organizations, and other social activities.

Additionally, vocational education practical instructors must meet the following standards for training and professional development:

- Hold a college degree in a relevant vocational field or possess a suitable professional skills certificate to teach practical college-level courses;- Meet the standards for professional teaching certification by regulation;- Have a minimum level 2 (A2) foreign language proficiency as regulated;- Possess basic IT skills as regulated;- Hold a certificate of training according to the standards for practical vocational education instructor titles (level III).

Furthermore, vocational education practical instructors must meet the following professional and technical competency standards, including:

- Have a firm grasp of the knowledge in the assigned vocational field; possess knowledge of related fields and understand the practical production and service context of the industry;- Clearly understand the training objectives and curriculum content of the assigned vocational field; have knowledge of the training plans of vocational education institutions;- Organize vocational training efficiently and master techniques of occupational safety and hygiene;- Effectively and safely utilize teaching aids and equipment; use information technology to enhance teaching effectiveness and training quality; have the ability to create and innovate teaching aids and equipment;- Proficiently perform the skills of the assigned vocational field and know how to organize productive labor and service work in the industry.
