The Government of Vietnam has issued Decree No. 130/2018/NÐ-CP on guidelines for the Law on E-Transactions of Vietnam of digital signatures and digital signature authentication.
According to Decree No. 130/2018/NÐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government, the time to verify the dossier and grant the digital signature certification license is shortened to 50 days from the date of receipt of a valid license dossier instead of 60 days as before.
Public certification authorities are entitled to provide service if they meet the following conditions: having the licenses to public authentication of digital signatures granted by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications; having digital certificates granted by Root Certification Authority.
Licenses granted to public certification authorities are valid for 10 years.
Digital certificates issued to organizations providing public digital signature certification services have a term of 5 years.
Decree No. 130/2018/NÐ-CP of Vietnam’s Government takes effect from November 15, 2018.
