Vietnam Post Reports on Participation in Global Postal Conferences within 15 Days

On December 17, 2020, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular 21/2012/TT-BTTTT regulating the operations of the Vietnam Post Corporation in international postal organizations.

Accordingly, Article 8 of Circular 21/2012/TT-BTTTT stipulates that the Vietnam Post Corporation is responsible for reporting:

  • Participation in the Postal Operations Council; and in associations under international postal organizations as stipulated in point b, clause 4, Article 7 of Circular 21/2012/TT-BTTTT;
  • Results of participation in conferences, seminars, and meetings as stipulated in point c, clause 4, and point a, clause 6, Article 7 of Circular 21/2012/TT-BTTTT, within no later than 15 days from the conclusion of the aforementioned meetings;
  • Results or progress of implementing contents as stipulated in clause 5, Article 7 of Circular 21/2012/TT-BTTTT, within no later than 30 days from the conclusion of the implementation or reporting according to the timeline of activities, projects, and technical cooperation programs;
  • As required by international postal organizations and the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Note: The implementation of the report must ensure the following requirements:

  • Timeliness according to the stipulated deadlines;
  • Content and data of the report must be unified and accurate;
  • Submitted in paper form accompanied by an electronic version to the Ministry of Information and Communications.

In cases where the Ministry of Information and Communications designates the Vietnam Post Corporation to send reports directly to international postal organizations, the Vietnam Post Corporation is responsible for sending a copy of the report to the Ministry of Information and Communications within 05 working days from the date of sending the original report. Reporting on the operations of the Vietnam Post Corporation in international postal organizations and other international cooperation activities is carried out according to this Circular and other legal regulations related to postal services.
