Vietnam: All specimens of certificates of technical and environmental safety issued to ships in accordance with IMO and ILO

The Ministry of Transport of Vietnam issued Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT on specimens of certificates and registers of technical and environmental safety issued to ships and inland waterway vehicles and certificates of industrial products used for inland waterway vehicles.

According to Circular No. 25/2017/TT-BGTVT of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, depending on whether Vietnam is a member of that International Convention or not, there will be different specimens, specifically:

- Certificates of technical and environmental safety issued under international conventions of IMO and ILO to which Vietnam is a signatory and the Ministry of Transport assigns to the Vietnam Register, specimens shall apply to provisions of such international conventions;

- Certificates of technical and environmental safety issued under international conventions of IMO and ILO to which Vietnam is not a signatory or conventions not specifying specimens of certificates or at the request of shipowners to provide information about the conformity of relevant authorities shall use the following specimens of certificates to issue to ships:

+ The certificate of compliance for ballast water management;

+ The certificate of compliance on inventory of hazardous materials;

+ The certificate of compliance for ready for recycling;

+ The document of authorization approval of ship’s plans for the carriage of bulk grain.
