Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harm 2012 was promulgated on June 18, 2012, and officially took effect on January 1, 2013. One of the basic contents specified in this document is the rights and obligations of citizens in the prevention and control of tobacco harm.
To be specific:, according to the provisions of Article 7 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Tobacco Harms 2012, citizens have the following rights and obligations:
Firstly, to live and work in a smoke-free environment.
Secondly, to request smokers not to smoke in places where smoking is prohibited.
Thirdly, to encourage and propagate others not to use tobacco and to quit smoking.
Fourthly, to request agencies, organizations, or individuals with authority to handle individuals who smoke in places where smoking is prohibited.
Fifthly, to report or denounce to authorities or individuals with authority who do not handle smoking behaviors in places where smoking is prohibited.
