The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment issued Circular 74/2015/TT-BTNMT stipulating the exploration, classification of reserves, and resources of Apatit mineral, which took effect on February 15, 2016.
Requirements for sample analysis in mineral exploration in Vietnam from February 15, 2016
According to Article 16 of Circular 74/2015/TT-BTNMT, the requirements for sample analysis in mineral exploration from February 15, 2016, are as follows:
- The sample analysis results need to determine the content, form of existence of the main useful components, harmful components, and accompanying useful components:
- The content of the main useful component (P2O5) in apatite ore is determined by chemical analysis or other methods. The chemical analysis process is implemented according to current regulations; the basic chemical analysis sample analyzes the component P2O5, depending on the presence of accompanying useful components, additional analysis criteria can be added. Basic chemical analysis is performed on 100% of the samples taken at the exploration site;- The accompanying useful components, harmful components, and other components are determined according to the group chemical sample, at least 10% of the basic samples;
- The group chemical sample, besides the components analyzed in the basic sample, adds components: SiO2, Al2O3, FeO, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, MnO, K2O, Na2O, CKT, S, MKN, Cl, F, S, Tr2O3, Y2O3, U3O8, ThO2... suitable for each type of ore;
- Mineral composition, characteristics of construction, structure, physical properties, and radioactive properties of the ore must be studied by petrological, mineralogical, physical, chemical methods or other forms of analysis;- Technological sample research work
- Technological samples must be studied on a laboratory scale, extended laboratory, or semi-industrial scale. For new types of ore, difficult-to-beneficiate ore, or ores with no industrial production experience, separate research and evaluation must be carried out.
- The results of the technological sample research must evaluate the material composition of the ore, determine the main economic-technical parameters of the beneficiation stages, propose reasonable beneficiation technology process to recover the concentrate and assess the ability to recover accompanying useful components (if any).
