No later than 15 days, the facilities subject to nuclear control in Vietnam must prepare and submit engineering dossiers

This is the main content specified in Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN guiding the control of nuclear materials and source nuclear materials issued by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam on March 16, 2011.

No later than 15 days, the facilities subject to nuclear control in Vietnam must prepare and submit engineering dossiers (illustration)

According to Article 5 of Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN, engineering dossiers must be prepared and submitted within the following timeframes:

1. Organizations and individuals with facilities under nuclear control must prepare and submit the types of engineering dossiers and reports on design changes as follows:

- Engineering dossiers must be prepared and submitted to the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety no later than 15 days after the project for the facilities subject to nuclear control is approved. These engineering dossiers are prepared according to Appendix I of Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN and based on available project information.

- Engineering dossiers must be prepared and submitted to the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety no later than 240 days before the commencement of construction of the facilities subject to nuclear control. These engineering dossiers are prepared according to Appendix I of Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN and based on the basic design information.

- Engineering dossiers must be prepared and submitted to the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety no later than 240 days before the expected date of the first reception of nuclear materials and source nuclear materials into the facility. These engineering dossiers are prepared according to Appendix I of Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN and based on the approved detailed design information.

The report on design content changes must be prepared and submitted when there are changes to the engineering dossiers as stipulated in point c of this section. The report on design content changes must clearly specify the changes and must be submitted to the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety no later than 90 days before the expected completion of the changes.

- The engineering dossiers must be re-prepared after the changes as per the report on design content changes stipulated in point d of this section have been completed. These engineering dossiers are prepared according to Appendix I of Circular 02/2011/TT-BKHCN, must clearly specify the completed changes, and must be submitted to the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety no later than 15 days after the completion of the changes.

2. The engineering dossiers and reports on design changes must be supplemented and completed upon the request of the Department of Radiation and Nuclear Safety.
