New Criteria for the Consideration of Awarding the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" for Literature and Art

Standards for awarding the "Ho Chi Minh Prize" for literature and art were amended and supplemented by Decree 133 as follows:

1. For works and projects that were published and used before 1993:

- Have a significant impact in serving the revolutionary cause, have a wide and lasting influence in social life, making an important contribution to changing people's perceptions in the cause of developing Vietnamese literature and art, and building and protecting the Fatherland;- Possess exceptional value in terms of literature and art, both in ideological content and artistic form.

2. For works and projects that were published and used after 1993:

- Have a significant impact in serving the revolutionary cause, have a wide and lasting influence in social life, making an important contribution to changing people's perceptions in the cause of developing Vietnamese literature and art, and building and protecting the Fatherland;- Possess exceptional value in terms of literature and art, both in ideological content and artistic form: Have been awarded the Gold Prize, Prize A, First Prize at national professional competitions, festivals, and exhibitions on literature and art organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism or the highest award of the Central Professional Literature and Art Association in the specialized field or awarded the highest prize at prestigious international professional competitions, festivals, and exhibitions on literature and art.

Decree 133/2018/ND-CP is effective from November 15, 2018.
