Measures to Facilitate Persons with Disabilities in Exercising Voting Rights

To be specific, according to Article 3 of Decree 13/2018/ND-CP, these measures include:

1. Information directly related to the life, activities, production, and business of people with disabilities must be promptly announced publicly on mass media in forms that provide convenient access to information for people with disabilities.

2. Based on actual conditions, state agencies shall establish their electronic portals and websites with basic functions to support people with disabilities in accessing and using information and communication technology to access information posted on these electronic portals and websites.

3. The information-providing agency shall ensure forms of information provision suitable to the accessibility of the individuals requesting the information and the actual conditions of the agency; arrange audiovisual devices and auxiliary equipment appropriate to the type and degree of the requester's disability and the practical conditions of the agency; facilitate the use of personal audiovisual devices, auxiliary equipment, and other technical means to access the requested information.

4. The information-providing agency shall arrange officials to guide, explain, and assist people with disabilities who face difficulties in filling out the form, signing the request for information, or accessing the information.

5. Integrate knowledge and experience in providing information to people with disabilities into professional training programs, and enhance the professional capacity for focal departments and information-providing officials of the agency.

6. Prioritize providing information to people with disabilities in accordance with the laws on information access and the laws on people with disabilities.
