The Regulation on Master's Degree Training issued with Circular 15/2014/TT-BGDDT stipulates the handling of violations in the organization and management of master's degree training.

- Students who violate this Regulation will be subject to administrative penalties according to the extent of the violation; they will be disciplined as per this Regulation and the existing Regulation for Students in Universities, Colleges, and Official Professional Schools;- In cases of impersonation during examinations or using false diplomas and certificates in admission records, the student will be expelled. If discovered after the degree has been awarded, the head of the training institution will revoke and annul the awarded master's degree for the violator;- Civil servants, public employees, and workers involved in management, teaching, guiding, or evaluating dissertations at the training institution who violate this Regulation will, depending on the nature and extent of the violation, be suspended from teaching, guiding dissertations, or participating in dissertation evaluation councils for a minimum of one year; they will be disciplined, subjected to administrative penalties, or face criminal prosecution and compensation for damages as per the current legislation;- Training institutions that violate this Regulation will, depending on the nature and extent of the violation, be subject to administrative penalties and other legal responsibilities already regulated. In such cases, the head of the training institution and the direct violators will be disciplined; violators causing damage must compensate according to the law.

Additionally, the head of the training institution is responsible for notifying relevant authorities, units, or localities where the violators are working or residing about the handling of violations related to candidates, students, officers, and lecturers. The authority managing the violating training institution shall notify the supervising agency and publicly announce it via mass media.
